It’s funny because the term “butter-free” usually infers health. Not in this case. This is what happens when my wife isn’t home for dinner.
The masterpiece above is a grilled cheese sandwich that I had been craving all day…. only better.
Here’s how this one worked:
I made bacon.
I assembled grilled cheese, with tillamook colby jack, cracked pepper cheddar, smoked turkey and – of course – bacon.
I realized that, rather than cleaning out the bacon pan, I could use that delicious bacon fat to make this beauty taste even better.
So I cooked it up. Cheese, bacon, turkey (in retrospect, turkey may not have been fatty enough for this sandwich) all came together in perfect, saturated harmony.
I served it with a side of bacon.
